'Garbuu' Greeting Card

'Garbuu’ was guided by my old people who had a connection to the land and sea. The hunters that would go out on the water and only take what they needed. Always respecting the balance between give and take.

Being in saltwater has always been good for my spirit. My family have spent many generations gathering down at the beach, eating seafood, fishing, spearing and going out on the boat swimming in the reef.

I see the same pride in all families in Hope Vale and nothing brings me more joy than seeing my people keep our culture and connection to saltwater alive.
